During the Kosovo war, Dritan Fairi joined the KLA as an officer of the Albanian Army in the aviation school. He joined the war with his father, Dilaver Goxhaj, who was known in the war as Commander Golem and was deputy chief of the KLA Staff.
Both went to war voluntarily, but after 24 years Dritani was arrested on orders from the Special Court.
Before him, senior Kosovo politicians have ended up in chains, among them warlords such as Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, who still remain in the cell.
The Special Court announced that Quitej is accused of intimidating and hindering official persons in carrying out their official duties.
"KSC requested the cooperation and assistance of the Albanian authorities in the arrest of Mr. Quite a bit and his surrender to KSC, on the basis of the arrest warrant issued by a KSC judge in connection with criminal offences against the administration of justice involving intimidation and obstruction of official persons in the performance of their official duties," the special court notice reads.
His lawyer said the charge he faces is that of intimidating secret witnesses, which in the process underway in The Hague are kept secret, with initials.
"I notice serbian outstated hands to bring KLA fighters to guillotine. We will look at the extradition requests further," the lawyer said after the arrest of Tirana police.
In fact, Quitej has not had the complex to mention the names of secret witnesses. A while ago, during an interview on Euronews, he said that one of these witnesses is Altin Rajimi, a BIRN journalist, who is also co-author of the writing for "The Yellow House" that was then used by Carla del Ponte and Dick Marty to bring charges against the KLA.
During the show on April 3, <>, Goxhaj said that BIRN's article on organ trafficking was commissioned by Belgrade and that the journalist had received political asylum in Canada.
"It all started on the basis of a piece of paper made by Birn journalists. At that time Birn did not have for Albania, but was paid directly by Belgrade and the writing was made by an American and an Albanian.
The Albanian is Altin Rajimi who wrote this letter where he said that they were arrested and held by the KLA in Kukës in this factory of 19 Albanians and for this writing that this gentleman has benefited from political asylum today in Canada and is also a hidden and protected witness of the Special Prosecution against the trial that will start today against the accused persons. This article was received by the UMNIK prosecution and it started a court process in 2009 on the basis of this article," said Goxhaj.

Also, in a writing titled "Motherland, KLA and Special Court" former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) officer Dritan Goxhaj has released the names of witnesses kept secret by the Special Court.
Among them he mentioned Nazlie Bala, who is also an advisor to the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, as a protected witness of the Specialist Prosecution in The Hague.
Quite a bit in the author's writing "Motherland, KLA and Special Court", which has been published in several Kosovo media, wrote that Balaj is a relative of one of the victims for whom former KLA superior Salih Mustafa was convicted by the Special Court.
"The third witness, also protected and hidden, is called Nazlie Balaj," the former KLA officer claims in the article published in KosovaPress.
"She is an advisor to the Minister of Justice in the Government of Kosovo. Apart from being a relative of the victim, no one can tell how she could have witnessed an event she just heard," he continued.
These names that he has released to the public quite a bit have brought the reaction of the prosecutors of the Special Court. /Daily Newspaper
