Tiktok terror victim
A 41-year-old woman, mother of four children, has fallen victim to bullying, from anonymity to tick and from the inability of justice.

After spending a year of harassment/humiliation on the social network, the 41-year-old decided to end her life.

Her calvary began in December 2022 when she sought protection in the law house, reporting to police what was being done to her on TikTok. The victim did not know that the author/author of this online nightmare resided in Italy. Today, the police say the claim was forwarded to the prosecutor. This response is a more than explanation. Justice delayed is justice denied. This is a lot more ironic today.

The TikTok cyber bullying epidemic is not an isolated incident, and the tragedy is chronicle of a forewarned murder.

"Murder" that starts with the language that public figures use in public, in the media space given to the likes of idiots/to take and to the "legitimacy" of anonymity and hate speech online.

The event of Durres sheds light on the dangers of virtual life, where anyone can fall victim to the cruel attacks that lead to tragedy.

Enough to read some anonymous comments to understand what the public discourse has come to and what "normalcy" has gained the language of hate.

In the absence of normality in the public sphere, in the absence of normality in Parliament, in the absence of normality on TV, many people seek some kind of escapism on social media and fall from rain to hail, prey to anonymous aggressors.

While the consequences of uncontrolled online bullying are clear for everyone, it's time to do something, beyond lamenting online. The reaction to this one also raises the question: who's next?

It's time for the online squats to get the message that "anonymity" will no longer be a hunting shield. Anyone who does online must be punished.

In the name of "freedom of speech" you cannot take the life of another.

The media has a lot to do, especially with the toleration it has done to anonymous people, parents have a lot to do to inform children what is behind the magical facade of social networks, society has a lot to do to understand the impact/weight of words both on the street and online

Legislators can do their duty by making concrete commitments.

Those who appear anonymous online should understand that digital footprints are indelible and are not as invisible as they think.

Swift and strong action against perpetrators of online harassment, especially when anonymity is used as a shield, sends the right message: such acts will face the force of the law.

(The cyber crime sector in the police prosecutor should be strengthened along with legislation in this area)

The tragic loss of her life is a reminder that fighting anonymousness and denigrating comments online is not a technological challenge, but a moral requirement of time.

Hope!
