Self-powered, net billing from January 1 but still not priced

The net differential-price billing is supposed to officially begin this Monday (January 1, 2024).

According to the legal changes made during the past year but also the reports that the government has made to the Energy Community Secretariat this scheme should be implemented but still today there is not an approved price to be paid to the self-makers. The latter must be approved by the Energy Regulatory Agency in accordance with the methodology approved by the government.

In point 4 of 20, which stops at self-prophesying subjects with a capacity installed in 500 kwp, it is stated that this award should provide fair compensation for this category.

The price of electricity generated by renewable energy self-generators should ensure a fair compensation reflecting the market value of the energy supplied to the grid and will avoid unfair intersubversions or discrimination between the renewable energy self-generator and other consumers. The price of electricity also takes into account the costs incurred for transmission, distribution and balance of the system. The price for electricity generated by renewable energy self-generators is determined by the ERE in accordance with the methodology determined by decision of the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the minister" sanction the law.

The Energy Community Secretariat said that a net measurement is currently in place that enables consumers to operate renewable energy installations with a maximum capacity of 500 kW.
