The new gambling law foresees a zero percent tax on income for players, while the organizers will be subject to the laws in force.
This decision-making aims to formalize this industry, which is entirely informal. Vasilik Vjero, Deputy Minister of Finance explained to E-ZONE the reasons for this decision.
"We want to formalize this industry. If we were to tax the player, he would risk staying in informality. That's why we thought that the zero tax will be an incentive for the player to identify himself, open a bank account and carry out the necessary processes of withdrawing income", explained Vjero.
But such a decision seems to bring tax inequality to the market. An employee pays 13 to 23% taxes from work.
While next year, due to the new "Income Tax" law, there will be a radical change in labor taxation. In the name of formality, gamblers will be privileged.
