After the doctors, the military, the police, it seems that in 2024 it will be the turn of the residents who were evicted from the owners' houses where they were living on rent, to benefit from zero interest housing loans. Scan Television has disclosed the government's plan to make legal interventions so that this layer of the population can be housed with loans subsidized by the state. But it will not be only this category that will benefit from easy loans. The Government's plans also include the families of State Police employees who have fallen in the line of duty, as well as children in the care of the Republic. The legal changes for this purpose will be prepared within September by the Ministry of Finance, which will have the task of determining the application procedures, criteria and documentation to benefit from the facilitated loan.

The purpose of the draft decision, the Government emphasizes, is that the families of State Police employees who have fallen in the line of duty; children in the care of the Republic; families living as tenants in private property, according to normative act no. 3, dated 1.3.2012, of the Council of Ministers "On the release of apartments to legal owners from homeless citizens, residents, in apartments formerly owned by expropriated entities", approved by law no. 82/2012, to benefit from loans with interest equal to 0% subsidized by the state budget through the National Housing Authority.

The normative act in question was approved in 2012 and forced all residents who lived in apartments that had been evicted from their owners to vacate them. At that time, it was said that there were more than 3,000 flats, which were rented while the right of ownership was known to the legal residents. The act sparked strong debates regarding the housing of residents who would leave their homes.
