The Tirana Municipal Council approved this Wednesday the rent bonus for families affected by the fire that engulfed the "Arlis" complex building.
According to the draft decision, which was submitted for approval to the Municipal Council, compensation of 40 thousand lek per month will be provided to the affected families.
This decision will remain in effect until the affected families enter their homes.
"The large-scale fire at the Arlis Company, dozens of families remain homeless, with extensive material damage, fortunately, only material damage. There have been all possible interventions by all actors, I don't mean just the firefighters, who have had their commitment. In these cases, life is the most important and this has been successfully achieved. Of course, the reaction to come to the aid of the residents has been immediate in the administration. Of course, the reaction to come to the aid of the residents has been immediate here in the administration, confirming that we had the legal basis to provide a contribution to the housing of these residents, in this interim period when they have remained homeless, until the moment of rehabilitation of their homes ," said the acting mayor of the Municipality of Tirana, Anuela Ristani.
The financial effects will be covered by the revenues of the Municipality of Tirana in the Fire Protection and Civil Protection program. To benefit from the rental bonus, families must prove that they do not own another apartment within the Municipality of Tirana.
We recall that the event occurred on April 14, where as a result of the fire that engulfed the building, 30 apartments were destroyed. A day later, Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a reaction on social networks, said that the apartments will be rebuilt 100% by the company itself. The company "Arlis" through an official reaction confirmed the reconstruction of the burned apartments.
Meanwhile, the expertise has not yet come to a clear conclusion as to who the perpetrators are who caused the fire at the building in the "Farmacia 10" area.
