The French signaled SPAK, for the operation against call center fraudsters in Tirana

August Berberi is the Police officer who was escorted today as part of the operation undertaken by SPAK and French authorities with the aim of cracking down on fraudulent call centers operating in Tirana.

Media sources indicate that Berberi, an agent at Police Station No. 1 in Tirana, was escorted by the Police, while BKH agents also searched his apartment.

The action taken today is still ongoing, while so far there has been no official reaction from the Police or SPAK.

In addition to Berberi, the police also arrested two managers of several call centers operating in the area of ??"Zogu I" Boulevard, near the Ministry of Justice.

The operation is focused on cracking down on suspected criminal activity linked to several call center entities, which are suspected of committing fraud against French citizens.

According to preliminary sources, it was from France that the first signal about this illegal activity arrived, leading to coordination between Albanian and French authorities to develop a joint mega-operation.

It is learned that several other people are being sought and are being escorted by the authorities. It is also suspected that several other police officers are involved in this fraud scheme.
