
Three Albanians have been arrested by Greek police after the discovery of a large cannabis plantation in a rural area of Arta, Greece.
It is reported that police officers from the Criminal Investigation and Prosecution Department found and destroyed 1,019 marijuana plants.
According to Greek media, two Albanians, who were responsible for caring for the plantation, were arrested on site during the police operation.
While the other Albanian was arrested after a search of the apartment of two others arrested earlier.
Also, a Greek from Arta, who had the leading role in the group, was arrested by police during searches at the apartment.
It is learned that as part of this operation, 374 potted marijuana plants were seized, while another 645 marijuana seedlings were uprooted and destroyed, while the equipment for cultivating the plantation was also seized.
