A plot with around 1,000 cannabis seedlings has been discovered in the village of Libofshë, Fier, as part of the national operation "Coordination" against the cultivation of narcotic plants.

The police have intervened in the place called "Gropa e Mollas", where the seedlings had been planted and were being cultivated in secret. After the discovery, the narcotic plants were destroyed by burning at the scene.

At the conclusion of the investigative actions, the suspected perpetrator, a 63-year-old man with the initials AM, a resident of the area, was arrested.

According to police sources, he is suspected of being responsible for cultivating the seedlings.

Investigations are continuing to determine whether other people were involved in this activity.
