DEA's 'landing' in Tirana/ Lawyer: Support for SPAK to fight

Lawyer Idajet Beqiri said in an interview that it is very good news that the DEA has "landed" in Tirana, to help or support SPAK in the fight against organized crime.

" It is very good news in the framework of the Justice Reform. The headline was more than 2 years ago, the establishment of SPAK. It is a very good omen and the landing of the DEA. SPAK needs these to break through this road it has. We are a country with organized crime at the highest levels and corruption at the highest levels. SPAK is being given support ", said Beqiri.

He further added that SPAK must move with the pace of time with what is required. To help the special anti-corruption structure, a team from the American anti-drug agency has arrived in Albania.

The news was announced by the embassy of the United States of America in Tirana, where diplomat Yuri Kim met with Brendan Leddy, one of the special agents of the DEA.
