Sokol Sanxhaktari, the son-in-law of the former mayor of Elbasan Qazim Sejdini, has appealed to the Supreme Court, as he seeks the annulment of the decision of the Appeal of Durrës.

Sanxhaktari was sentenced to 10 years in prison in September for the murder of his friend Florenc Lamçja. Adriano Hajdari was also sentenced to 8 years as an accomplice for this event. The latter has also appealed the decision of the Appeal in Durrës.

HOW DID THE MURDER OCCUR?

It all happened in a bar in the center of Elbasan, in the "Luigj Gurakuqi" neighborhood. The serious event happened on the morning of July 30, 2020. Sanxhaktari, Lamçe and Hajdari were all three celebrating in a bar where they were consuming alcohol and narcotics. But during the night, blood flared between the young people. Hajdari and Sanxhaktari hit him with a chair and brutally beat Lamçe. Afterwards, they sent Lamçe to the hospital, but the effort was in vain, as Lamçe had passed away.
