The Albanian drug gang is hit in Spain, 11 people are arrested, the secret place

The National Police and the Civil Guard officially published yesterday the data referring to the "Garfio-Trunko" operation that led to the disintegration of an Albanian gang.

The gang was dedicated to drug trafficking and transported narcotics from Madrid in cars equipped with hidden compartments.

Agents seized 13 kilograms of heroin, as well as impounding six cars.

Eleven suspects have been arrested, in what is already the biggest anti-drug operation in A Coruña this year.

The investigation began earlier this year, when agents found an individual selling significant amounts of heroin.

Little by little they discovered their distribution channels. In July they stopped a car, but the compartment was so hidden that they had to turn to the Customs Surveillance Service, which has X-ray machines, to locate the ten kilograms of heroin inside.

Little by little, they found all the vehicles (up to ten) as well as the network of secret places that the leader of the gang had, an Albanian banned from entering the EU, but who claimed to be a judicial expert, write the Spanish media.

On Wednesday, the organization was dealt the final blow with eight controls, including one on Santo Tomás Street, in Monte Alto, where they arrested an elderly woman who was involved in drug distribution in the country.

In addition to heroin, the authorities confiscated a kilogram of hashish, half a kilogram of marijuana, 57,000 euros in cash, 900 dollars, precision scales and tools for drug treatment. They also found a jammer, a geolocation device and fake documentation.
