The perpetrator and the victim

Daniel Pepaj surrendered to the Shkodra Police after two years on the run.

He is accused of being the perpetrator of the Kalashnikov murder of two cousins, Vilson Çetaj and Klement Pepaj, after the conflict over plots of cannabis, which happened on October 3, 2020, in the village of Vrith in Malesia e Madhe.

Currently, procedural actions are being carried out against him by the police.

How the event happened:

Wilson accused Daniel of stealing 50 kg of cannabis. He enlisted Clement's help in confronting Daniel, whom they both beat up. After the violence, Daniel Pepaj admitted that he had taken the cannabis and offered to return the remaining 7 kg. On October 3, Vilson Čutaj and Klement Pepaj headed towards the place where it is assumed that Danieli had hidden the drugs.

From that moment they disappeared never to return, for five days in a row. Daniel shot Wilson with a firearm, while after him, for fear of not telling, he also killed Clementi.

After finding two dead bodies, it was established that both victims were shot with one bullet in the back. Wilson was shot in the head while Klementi was shot in the back.
