In a forecast for the weekend ahead; our country is expected to be affected by an aggravated meteorological situation.
According to the Military Meteorological Service, this situation is a consequence of the penetration of a deep low pressure center developed in the Atlantic Ocean towards the Balkan region. This low pressure center (atmospheric front) is expected to be accompanied by very moist air masses and low pressure values.
In this way, for the next day until noon, the weather is predicted with moderate to dense clouds and occasional low-intensity rain, while in the northwest and south, moderate and high-intensity precipitation in the form of showers and storms. After noon and until noon on Sunday; moderate and high intensity precipitation extends over most of the territory in the form of downpours and storms accompanied by electrical discharges. Locally, these precipitations will be torrential accompanied by strong winds.
Cloudy weather continues on Sunday, but after noon they lose intensity and become occasional with low to medium intensity in the form of thunderstorms. In the high mountain reliefs in the area of the Alps and the northeast, snowfall.
It should also be noted that intense wind is expected with the main direction from the south quadrant and an average speed on land of 3-9m/s, while along the coastline and the valley the wind reaches speeds of up to 15-20m/s, being accompanied by high waves in the seas of strength 4-7 points.
However, it should be taken into consideration that these are the last projections of the meteorological maps. Since the situation is dynamic, there may be further changes, which will be analyzed in other projections in the following hours.
