The killer of Albanian Ardit (Arjan) Spahiu, killed in Molenbeek in 2020, has been caught in Dubai. It is about a member of a criminal group, but it is not known if he is Albanian or not. The Belgian media write that Belgium has requested his extradition from Dubai, wanting to make him the first criminal extradited between the two countries, after the signing of the agreement.
Ardit Spahiu, 38, was shot in Molenbeek on 27 November 2020 as soon as he stepped outside a cafe. The perpetrators, three of them, left, but one of them returned and fired seven more bullets at Spahiu, leaving him dead. According to the Belgian authorities, the murder occurred after a clash between two rival Albanian gangs of drug clans.
The theft of many kilograms of cocaine is suspected to be the cause of the murder, while according to the investigation, the criminal group, apart from Spahi, wanted to kill his entire family. Ardit Spahiu was illegally in Belgium. Spahiu was arrested in 2010 in connection with the murder of 52-year-old Gëzim Alikaj in Elbasan, but was later released.
We remind you that Spahiu is the brother of Erion Alibej's brother-in-law, arrested by the Elbasan prosecutor's office as a suspect for ordering the organization of two murders. Erion Alibej, the organizer of the two murders that shocked the city of Elbasan, on July 20 and 29, ordered the murder of Emiljano Ramazan and his friend, Regis Runaj, in Elbasan. The blue uniforms arrested him on September 18 in Elbasan.
