The Ministry of Education and Sports has reacted after the serious event that happened today in Tirana, where a student of the 9-year-old "Fan Noli" school died after being shot with a knife by his peers.

In the reaction of the ministry, it is requested that the law-enforcement institutions carry out the immediate clarification of all the circumstances of this event.

The Ministry states that it has continuously taken, and is implementing, concrete measures to guarantee that the teaching process, in all schools in Albania, is carried out in the safest, regular and standard way possible.

Also, in its response, MAS has appealed for the importance of the active role of all parties, parents, teachers, state police officers, educational institutions, but also the community, to make it possible to prevent such events in the future.

The reaction of the Ministry of Education and Sports:

We are deeply shocked by the tragic event that happened today on "Qemal Stafa" street, Tirana, where a conflict between three minors led to the loss of life of one of them, a student of "Fan Noli" school.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the student who lost his life, while we wish the other student a speedy recovery. At the same time, we ask the law enforcement institutions to carry out the immediate clarification of all the circumstances of this event.

Safety in schools and outside them has been and will remain an absolute priority of cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior, the State Police, the Ministry of Education, the Local Government, the community and the whole society.

The Ministry of Education and Sports has continuously taken, and is implementing, concrete measures to guarantee that the teaching process, in all schools in Albania, is carried out in the safest, regular and standard way possible.

While the Ministry of Education and Sports is maximally committed to providing the safest possible environments for the normal development of learning throughout Albania, the most active role of all parties, parents, teachers, state police officers, remains essential. , educational institutions but also the community, to make it possible to prevent such events in the future.
