The Special Court has sentenced the former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, to three years in prison on the charge of "abuse of office".

The decision was made today, in a marathon session, where Gjici rejected the accusations, stating that he was trapped by the former chairman of Kukës district, Abedin Oruçi, who, according to him, had paid Alma Kaçi to make the video. .

Gjici was filmed in intimate moments inside his office in the Municipality of Kukës, with citizen Alma K., to whom he also promised a tender for street dogs.

Due to the shortened trial, Gjic's sentence was reduced to 2 years in prison. So, Alma Kaçi was sentenced to 1 year in prison for the charge of "prostitution"
