The fire extinguishing operation that has engulfed the Drenova area has begun at 06:00 this morning.

40 Armed Forces troops have been engaged in the operation, and they are working intensively to bring the flames under control.

The Cougar helicopter has also become part of the operation, and has been operating from the air for more than an hour to help extinguish the fire.

In continuation of efforts to manage the situation, the Director General of the National Civil Protection Agency, Haki Çako, is also expected to arrive on the ground to closely monitor developments and further coordinate emergency actions.
