The Great Ring Road has been open for a year, but the bridge at "5 Maji" has not yet been built.

The images you see come from the Tirana Ring Road, a project that has cost tens of millions of euros and is considered one of the most expensive roads per kilometer in Albania.

The citizen who sent the video raises concerns about the lack of an exit that should connect the Ring Road with the "5 Maji" area. "They've been saying for a year that they're going to do it and nothing has been done yet. It seems to me that they have no plan," he says, disappointed.

Residents of this area currently do not have direct access to the Ring Road and are forced to take a longer route to use the nearest exit, getting into the heavy traffic of the inner city roads to reach their homes. Meanwhile, the project foresees the construction of a bridge precisely at this connection point.

As early as September 2021, the Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, had promised that the Ring Road segment would open in August 2023, a deadline that was not met. Later, in 2023, the former head of the ARRSH (currently in prison), Berberi, declared that the project would be completed in 2024.

In reality, the Ring Road was opened in a hurry at the end of the year, to meet the promise of December 31, 2024, but the quality of the works has caused dissatisfaction among citizens. Although the road is operational, not all entrances and exits are functional, and a concrete case is this bridge that connects the ring road to the 5 Maji area.
