Bad weather

The rainfall that has covered the country since the early hours of today has created problems in several areas, where civil emergency structures, under the coordination of the National Civil Protection Agency, have been engaged in assisting citizens.

evacuations

Due to the presence of water in the apartments, a family of 5 members was evacuated by Armed Forces teams in the village of Dukagjin i Ri, Thumanë administrative unit.

In the administrative unit of Zejmen, as a result of the flooding of the Prulli and Pllanë streams, there is water in 4 apartments. The residents have been temporarily accommodated by local structures.

Emergency forces have carried out the water withdrawal and initial cleaning of the affected areas.

SITUATION BY DISTRICT

Durres District

Municipality of Durres:

Field work continues to eliminate the consequences of rainfall in the Sukth, Katund i Ri and Ishëm units.

The water level in the Erzen and Ishëm rivers is within normal limits.

The Porto Romano and Hamallaj hydroelectric plants continue to operate at full capacity.

Dibër District

The situation appears calm, except for the lack of electricity in the units of Kala e Dodës, Sllovë, Zall Dardhë, Reç, Lura and partially in Arras and Fushë Çidhën.

OSHEE teams are working to repair the defects.

Lezha District

Kurbin Municipality:

Work continues to normalize the situation in Mamurras and the villages of Gjorëm, Zhejë and Fushë Mamurras.

In the village of Shpërdhe, the road has been damaged by the waters of the Droje River.

Work also continues on the Skuraj–Gallatë–Vinjollë segment, which remains blocked due to damage to the bridge over the Vinjollë River.

Water levels in the Drin and Mat rivers are within quotas.

Kukes District

There is debris falling on several road axes, and contracting companies are working to clean them up.

The Vranisht–Fajza segment (Fajza unit, Has municipality) has been damaged as a result of rainfall.

Shkodra District

Shkodra Municipality:

The cleaning of inert materials in the Gimaj–Bregu i Lumit segment (Shalë unit) by AF troops and municipal employees continues.

The Nderlysë–Breg Lumi segment remains blocked; work is underway to open it.

Elbasan District

There are no reports of problems, except for the fall of inert materials in the Elbasan–Librazhd and Elbasan–Rrogozhinë segments, which are being cleaned by maintenance operators.

ENERGY SITUATION

OSHEE teams are working to restore power to:

• several villages of the Rubik administrative unit (Mirditë),

• the villages of Torocish, Kukës, Berishë and Lekbibaj of Tropoja,

• the Kurvelesh, Zagori, Luftinjë and Dropull i Poshtëm units (Gjirokastër District),

• several administrative units of Korça District.

No problems are reported in other regions of the country.

The Ministry of Defense and the National Civil Protection Agency continue monitoring and are in constant contact with civil protection structures and emergency teams to take measures in the event of worsening weather conditions.
