The crash of a passenger plane in Kazakhstan today shocked the entire world, as clear footage of the moment the plane attempted to stabilize in midair has made the rounds.

The causes of the plane crash are still unclear. There is still no official report on what happened, forcing the pilot to divert the flight to Grozny, Chechnya, and make an emergency landing in Aktau, Kazakhstan.

It was initially reported that the plane may have collided with a flock of birds in mid-air.

But various theories have exploded on social media. One in particular has attracted the most attention, as numerous holes have been filmed in parts of the plane on the ground.

This has raised suspicions that the plane may have been mistakenly shot down by a Russian air defense system, confusing it with a Ukrainian drone.

This theory has also been supported by several Russian bloggers in their reports on Telegram channels.
