The Appeals Panel forces the Kosovo CEC to certify the Serbian List: It meets
Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel

The Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) has ruled in favor of the Serbian List regarding their non-certification in the elections.

The ECAP has issued a decision stating that the Serbian List has met the legal criteria for certification.

"In the specific case, the Panel confirms that the Srpska List has submitted a complete application, in accordance with Articles 16 and 17 of the LZP, and the CEC is obliged to certify any political entity that meets the legal requirements as the political entity Srpska List has met in the specific case, for which the same has been recommended for certification by the Office for Registration, Certification and Financial Control of Political Entities at the CEC," the decision states, among other things.

ECAP refers to the recommendation of the Office for Registration, Certification and Financial Control that "the political entity Lista Srpska, together with the candidates of this political entity, has fulfilled the legal conditions to be certified for participation in the Elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo to be held on 09.02.2025".

The CEC, at its meeting held on December 23, did not approve the Office's recommendation for the certification of the political entity in question, namely it was found that the recommendation for the certification of Lista Srpska did not pass since after the vote there were 2 votes for, 2 votes against and 7 abstentions, therefore in this specific case no decision was issued, as 2/3 of the votes for the approval of the Office's recommendation were not reached.

Two members of the Vetevendosje Movement voted against the certification of the Serbian List in the parliamentary elections on February 9 next year, Insajderi reports.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti also spoke about the non-certification of the Srpska List. Kurti said that the deputy leader of the Srpska List, Milan Radoićić, carried out the terrorist attack in Banjska and that the political actors of this entity are still meeting with him.

"You all know that the Vetëvendosje Movement has two out of 11 members. Meanwhile, eight were enough for certification. The terrorist attack in Banjska was carried out by the deputy chairman of the Serbian List, Milan Radoićić, who continues to this day to be the 'de facto' head of the Serbian List, because the exponents of this political entity, led by Zlatan Elek, who is the chairman, meet with Radoićić in Serbia, receive instructions from him, it is clear that our position as the Vetëvendosje Movement could not have been different", declared Kurti.

"We have the murdered policeman, Afrim Bunjaku, we have his orphaned children, on the other hand we have Milan Radoicic at large, although he is unhappy about the damage he has caused us. The negative attitude, destructive actions and obstructive behavior of the Serbian List are publicly known to everyone. The Serbian List is unfortunately representing the wide scope of Serbia's interference in the internal affairs of Kosovo," he further said.
