A serious incident was recorded in the early hours of this Sunday morning in the city of Lezha, where a vehicle owned by a police officer was blown up with explosives.

A quantity of TNT was placed in the front of the vehicle belonging to police officer Gentian Gjeta , an agent in the crimes sector at the Lezha Local Police Directorate.

It is suspected that the perpetrators were two masked individuals riding a motorcycle.

They placed the explosives next to the vehicle and then quickly left the scene in an unknown direction.

The explosion caused material damage to the vehicle, but fortunately no injuries were reported.

Immediately after the incident, police forces and an investigation team arrived at the scene of the explosion and began actions to clarify the circumstances.

Investigators are verifying several leads, while one of the main suspicions is related to the officer's duty, due to his involvement in the crime sector.

Meanwhile, security cameras in the area are being checked and evidence is being collected that could help identify and capture the perpetrators of this incident.
