Trafficking cocaine hidden in the car airbag, 35-year-old Albanian arrested!

Arrezo police in Italy arrested a 35-year-old Albanian man suspected of being part of a drug trafficking and distribution network.

The operation was carried out by the Anti-Drug Section, and the cocaine was found hidden in the airbag of the vehicle in which the young man was traveling.

The officers encountered the vehicle while it was making suspicious movements, while at the wheel they noticed that it was the Albanian, who was a familiar face to the police, in connection with criminal activity related to psychotropic substances.

They immediately decided to stop the vehicle to continue with a more in-depth physical check.

After an initial inspection, officers discovered a sophisticated concealment system inside the car's specially modified airbag, where 10 sealed cellophane packages were found, containing a total of 28 grams of a cocaine-type narcotic substance.

During a personal search, a perfectly functioning precision scale and 2,400 euros in banknotes of various denominations, most likely proceeds from drug trafficking, were found in the pockets of the arrested person.

At that point, it was decided to expand the search to the person in question's home.

Another 10 packages were discovered there, containing 28 grams of narcotics, divided into doses and ready for sale, as well as two mobile phones, and various materials for cutting and packaging the drugs, Italian media reported.

After the arrest, the Albanian was transferred to Arezzo Prison, and was later released by the court under "house arrest" pending further proceedings.
