Sokol Idrizaj and his family

The hearings at the Special Anti-Corruption Court for Ardi Veliu's former driver, Sokol Idrizaj, his family members and other persons accused of "smuggling of goods", "failure to declare income", "money laundering" and "exercising financial activities without a license" have ended after more than five hours.

At the end of the session, the GJKKO announced the decision, specifically:

Agustin Mesuli, Altin Doda and Florian Baku were sentenced to 11 years, or 7.5 years in prison in a shortened trial.

Sokol Idrizaj and his wife Elda Idrizaj - 8 years, with a shortened sentence of 5.7 years in prison.

Sokol Idrizaj's eldest daughter Egi Idrizaj was sentenced to 7 years, 4.7 years in prison with a shortened trial and Article 59 was applied.

The little girl, Bora Idrizaj, 2 years old, was subjected to Article 59.

Vangjush Kasharra acquitted on the charge of "concealing income".

Tomorr Baruti, 2 years in prison, with a shortened sentence of 1.4 years in prison and Article 59 was applied.
