Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj has been put under investigation for the criminal offense of "public call for violent actions", after through a status on the social network he asked his followers to "get out of the house and beat every policeman who protects thieves".

"Proceedings against this citizen began after the continuous monitoring of open sources of information by the Cybercrime Investigation Sector found a post, published by the citizen G. Gj., which calls for actions to be taken against violent, this post, which has been found to have been published in various online media", informs the police, who then referred the case to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana.

The reaction of the lawyer of the former prime minister Sali Berisha was related to the changes in the Electoral Code, which were approved last night in the Assembly with 106 votes in favor. According to him, the dictatorship is not overthrown by electoral codes and law amendments, but by popular revolt.

Through another status, Gjokutaj clarifies that " his protest has nothing to do with violence, but with the strength of the Opposition in the face of the State, which is being eroded every day by corruption !"

Today, through the media, I became aware of the criminal proceedings against me regarding this status!
I consider and let you know that I have never violated the law in my life!
My protest, expressed in any form, has nothing to do with violence, but with the strength of the Opposition in the face of the State, which is being eroded every day by corruption!
I guarantee you that I have been and remain an opponent of this Majority, fighting every day for the protection of the Law and Freedom that has not been changed by the Government!
