He tried to steal an apartment in Farka, the 53-year-old falls into police custody (NAME)

A 53-year-old man was arrested in Farka while preparing to break into an apartment to steal.

The arrest was made as part of the operation codenamed "Dark Valley", carried out by the services of Police Commissariat No. 1. 53-year-old Aned Koli, a resident of Durrës, was arrested, who according to the Police has previous criminal records for crimes against the person and property.

During the search, a pistol firearm with a magazine of ammunition, two screwdrivers, a pair of pliers, two hats, a black mask, a pair of gloves, and a large amount of money were found and seized from him.

The arrested person is Aned (Ejk Eddy) Koli Jonuzi, a resident of Sukth.

He was highly sought after by the police, after robbing a bank at gunpoint in Tirana in 2009, and in recent months he had also robbed an apartment where he had taken the owner hostage at gunpoint.

In the police file, he was considered one of the most dangerous serial robbers.

"During the search, a firearm, a pistol with a magazine with ammunition, two screwdrivers, a pair of pliers, two hats, a black mask, a pair of gloves and a sum of money were found and seized as material evidence. The investigation revealed that the 53-year-old is suspected of being the author of two other cases of theft/attempted theft of apartments, also in the Farka area. Specifically, on 31.05.2026, he is suspected of having stolen a sum of money from the apartment of citizen AS, while on 05.06.2026, he is suspected of having attempted to steal from the apartment of citizen K. B," the police statement regarding the operation in Farka states.
