Arjoni, 14 years old, injured on the boulevard a year ago, appeared in court as injured in a fight that started with drugs.
The child's testimony has caused the prosecution to file charges against Krist Mazrek, a 27-year-old man who allegedly tried to sell hashish to Arjon and his friends who were standing on some benches. But while the minor insisted in the session with closed doors that the stranger offered him cigarettes with hashish near a pizzeria, the accused insists otherwise. Mazrek told the court that after consuming a pizza, he lit a hashish cigarette on the street, but a group of teenagers tried to snatch it from him. In these conditions, he claims that he reacted by shooting with a knife that he remembered from his grandfather.
The conversation between journalist Anila Hoxha and the young man:
- Where did you find the hashish?
- He who wants, finds.
-How is hashish found? How much did you buy it?
-Five thousand lek... He told me to give it to me because I am a gangster. I told him not to give it because I have it for myself. All six gathered, hit me and knocked me down.
- You told the police this version.
- Yes.
In the preliminary trial, the body decided to pass the case to the merits while the defense insists on examining the cameras that will show the dynamics of whether we have just an attacked user, or an attacking distributor.
For such cases, a room has been opened here in the capital's court where cases are examined only for minors in conflict with the law. Those accused of drugs, theft, driving while intoxicated and driving in an irregular state, as well as physical conflicts with each other, are in charge. The statistics are increasing even though the laws provide "juvenile friendly justice". /TCH
