The documents show that the American Hospital, with administrator Klodian Allajbeun, is owned by the company "Balkan Alliance Healthcare BV", with headquarters in Amsterdam and address at Naritaeg 165, 1043 BE. In March 2023, Allajbeu bought the company "Balkan Alliance Healthcare BV" for 24 million euros. The official buyer was another company registered in the Netherlands, called "KA Healthcare BV"

In the proceedings of the sale of the American Hospital, something strange and rather suspicious has happened. The American Hospital itself received a loan of 25.5 million euros that will be disbursed in two installments of 16 million euros and 9.5 million euros. According to the documents, the installment of 16 million euros will be used to finance the company KA Healthcare BV for its purchase of 86.3% of the capital of Balkan alliance healthcare bv. So, the company that owns the shares of the American Hospital itself. In short, the company that is being sold has taken on debt to finance exactly what it is going to buy, the other Allajbeu-related company registered in a tax haven like the Netherlands. Naturally, doubts arise as to what businessman Allajbeu is trying to hide through these transactions with offshore companies. In fact, we are dealing with a company without activity, without solvency that is simply a holder of shares of the hospital network.

From an in-depth verification, it results that the Competition authority in Kosovo examined in 2022 the request for the sale of shares to the Dutch company, given that the Air Hospital has two subsidiaries there. It is not known if the Competition Authority in Albania undertook the same investigation, considering that this group also bought Hygeia. What stands out about the decision in Kosovo, it is said that American Hospital and Hygeia occupy 12% of the market in Albania.

However, there are doubts that the Kosovar authorities have been deceived with the data. If we refer to the data for the year 2021, the American Hospital, which accounts for about 85% of the total number of private entities in this field. So, we are clearly before the creation of a monopoly.
