The Special Court will begin work today for 2025, with the case of Sali Berisha.

The hearing is expected to be held at 10:00 a.m. The Special Prosecution Office has requested to reinstate the "house arrest" measure to the Democratic leader.

According to the prosecutors in the case, the conditions do not exist for the court to release the former head of the executive, Berisha, from house arrest.

The objection was made in the Special Appeal by two representatives of the prosecution, Arben Kraja and Enkeleda Millonai.

Judge Engert Pllumbi will review SPAK's appeal. However, Berisha's lawyer considers this appeal to be inappropriate.

Berisha remained isolated in his apartment for 11 months, and gained freedom on November 27, 2024.
