The Assembly of Albania will meet today, while on the agenda it is foreseen that some institutions such as the CEC, the Dossier Authority, ILDKPKI, INSTAT, will present the report on the activity of the past year. However, the leader of the DP group, Gazment Bardhi, requests the change of the agenda and in the first point to insert the request of SPAK for the arrest of deputy Arben Ahmetaj.

Bardhi had announced this request yesterday after the meeting of the Council of Mandates where the SP and DP agreed to remove the mandate of Arben Ahmetaj, but today he addresses the Assembly with an official request.

In the meeting held the day before in the Council of Mandates, SP and DP agreed to remove the mandate of MP Arben Ahmetaj. The opposition presented its report yesterday, while the SP asked for more time and said it will present it on Friday, while it has been decided that SPAK's request will be included in the agenda for Monday's plenary session.

The former minister's lawyers, who left the meeting after the prosecutors, said that the charges against him are conjecture, while they refused to say where Ahmetaj is. According to them, SPAK is doing everything for show and to humiliate the position of the deputy.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj himself left Albania before the Assembly considered the SPAK request for his arrest. According to the Voice of America, from the verification of Ahmetaj's cell phone signal, it appears that the last moment of the location was Canada. It is suspected that Ahmetaj left the land border of the country, towards Greece, a few hours before the Prosecutor's Office sent the document for the arrest to the parliament.
