The disturbing images that made the rounds on social networks, published by Genard Hajdini, showing his sister Sonida half-naked, have caused a strong reaction in public opinion and the intervention of the public institutions was immediately requested. 

Regarding the case, the Ministry of Health has reacted, noting that after the publication of the video, the social structures of Administrative Unit No. 2, together with the doctors of the Health Center and the police, intervened to assess the condition of Sonida Hajdini.

According to what the Ministry of Health has announced, it turns out that the video, which has been deleted from social networks, was intended to go viral on the character himself and not contain elements of violence or malicious intent.

Also, the health structures provided the necessary medical treatment, as Sonida Hajdini had previously been hospitalized in the Mental Health Hospital and was left for outpatient treatment. Currently, the brother and sister are hospitalized in the psychiatric hospital of Tirana for more specialized treatment, while a plan of measures will be drawn up for the continuous monitoring of the two people, brother and sister, Genard and Sonida Hajdini.

The Ministry of Health's response:

Following the publication on the Instagram page of citizen GH, where his sister, citizen SH, was inappropriately shown, the local social structures of Administrative Unit No. 2, together with the medical staff of Health Center No. 1 and police officers of Commissariat No. 1, immediately assessed the condition of citizen SH.

During the interview, he stated that the video was intended to virally follow the character himself and not contain elements of violence or malicious intent. The video was deleted by GH itself, after immediate orders from the police.

The health structures also made it possible to inject health medications, as after a two-week stay at the Mental Health Hospital in Tirana, responsibility for outpatient treatment had been left, which was provided by a caregiver appointed by the relatives of the two people.

Currently, they are hospitalized for more specialized medical services at the Tirana psychiatric hospital, while the competent authorities have referred the materials to the prosecutor's office, according to our recommendation.

The structure of the NJNVR of Unit No. 2, together with the Directorate of Social Protection in the Municipality of Tirana and the Regional Directorate of the State Social Service of the Tirana District, will meet to draft a plan of measures for the continuous monitoring of two blood-related persons (sister and brother), where support will also be requested from the competent authorities for further investigations, due to the suspicion of the consumption of the criminal offense of exploitation of a person with disabilities.
