Skënder Hita is unstoppable, here are the new changes in the State Police

The Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has opened the competition for the heads of three key departments in the State Police: Criminal Police, International Relations, and Border and Migration. The changes are expected to also affect the heads of several regions, as part of the reorganization of police structures.

Among the most talked about names are Ervin Hodaj for Criminal Police and Idajet Faskaj for International Relations.

Following the changes in police directors in the regions, Chief Police Officer Skënder Hita has also initiated movements at the General Directorate of the State Police to reenergize the organization.

Recently, Hita has also opened the competition for three important departments in the General Directorate, specifically the Criminal Police, International Relations, and Border and Migration. After the opening of the competition, any police officer holding a management rank is eligible to apply.

After 4 years with the same leader, Hita is expected to make a change in the Criminal Police department, which is considered number two in the State Police and has been led since August 1, 2022 by Neritan Nallbati, whose mandate has ended.

The most potential name to take over this department is Ervin Hodaj, the current acting director of the Durrës Police.

Hita has also opened the competition for the International Relations department, which has been headed by Pëllumb Seferi since 2020.

Idajet Faskaj is expected to run for the International Relations Department. Changes are also expected for the Border and Migration Department, which has been headed for a year by Saimir Muça, appointed when Ilir Proda was the police chief.

After the close of the competition in these three departments, Hita is expected to make changes in the regions where he has not yet changed the leaders, that of Berat, Elbasan, Korça, Gjirokastra and Durrës, as the director in command in this region, Ervin Hodaj, is expected to be a potential candidate to take over the leadership of the Criminal Police in the General Directorate.
