The Berat Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigations and sent three people to trial, two accused of exploitation of prostitution and another for failing to report a crime.
According to the investigation, it turns out that citizens RL and EV are suspected of having collaborated to exploit a woman, Y.Sh., for prostitution.
RL, who lived with her, pushed her to engage in prostitution and organized clients, determined the locations where the activity took place and benefited from it.
On the other hand, EV, the owner of a nightclub in Berat, is suspected of having initially employed her as a dancer, but then helping to secure clients for sexual exploitation within the premises of his club.
Meanwhile, citizen KD is accused of being aware of the criminal activity, but not reporting it to the authorities.
"From the statement of this citizen, it resulted that she practiced prostitution and her cohabitant, RL, was aware of it as he received the money gained from the criminal activity when it went to the house they lived in. She explained that the clients were provided by citizen EV, who was the owner of the "Star" nightclub, where she was employed as a dancer.
"The defendant RL admitted that he pushed his cohabitant to provide sexual services due to his difficult economic situation. On occasion, he helped her find a client to perform sexual intercourse for her in return for payment," the Prosecution announced.
