The National Bureau of Investigation ( BKH ) has landed in ASHK where it is investigating several leaders and officials in several cities in the country following suspicions of an organized corruption scheme related to the alienation of properties, illegal legalizations or collaboration with criminal groups .

Some media outlets reported that the phone of the Director of the Albanian Civil Registry Office, Lorena Goxhobelli , was seized, but sources for Vox News  said that this is not true. The sources even added that the BKH agents did not even conduct a search of the office of the Chief Registrar.

Vox News has learned that BKH was installed at the State Cadastral Agency on Friday for hours.

Under investigation are officials and former directors who may have favored the registration of properties in violation of the law.

Meanwhile, according to information, SPAK has imposed a seizure on several land areas in the Livadh area in Himara and other actions are expected to follow.

The main hotbeds of corruption are suspected to be located in Tirana, Durrës, Vlorë and Elbasan .

Special prosecutors are investigating the influence of criminal groups that are suspected of having created a mechanism to facilitate money laundering by alienating illicit assets and investing in the construction sector.
