Activist Ilir Xhemalaj, speaking from the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office that has entered its 44th day today, distanced himself from the initiative for negative reviews of businesses on online booking platforms.

Speaking in a live link for the show "Off the Record" on A2, Xhemlaj said that no protest organizer has postponed such reviews.

He noted that the protesters' fight is with Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom he considers illegitimate.

" None of the organizers of the protest organized or pushed anyone to make these negative reviews. Normally, the square is big, there are different currents, I don't know how to say that."

But what is important is that we cannot today, in 2026, have a senior police officer come out and say we will investigate 10 thousand citizens! There is no article in the Criminal Code that defines this. Rivews are free.

This part where 10,000 people are being investigated for negative reviews is unacceptable. We definitely distance ourselves, we have nothing to do with this part.

"We are not attacking anyone, the only person we want to see overthrown is Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is illegitimate, and he will receive negative reviews until the last moment. We are fighting the system and Prime Minister Rama ," he said.

He warned that major changes are expected in September as a result of the ongoing citizen protest.

"The protest will continue. I believe the numbers are good. We will continue, in September we expect big changes, I hope even sooner, but I believe that September will bring us big changes."
