The conditions of this institution are scandalous and inhumane, it seems that what we have seen in this hospital is only the tip of the iceberg in this institution.

Vlora police arrested Lorenc Kapllanaj alias Lorenc Sadikaj on October 14. The 53-year-old was declared internationally wanted after the Court of Appeal of Catania, Italy, sentenced him to 19 years and 6 months in prison, of which he has 16 years, 6 months and 24 days left to serve, for the criminal offenses Narcotics Trafficking' and 'Criminal Organizations', provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, continues the procedures for the extradition of the 53-year-old to Italy , the police announced.

This person, until the moment of his arrest, had been employed at the hospital for years. Kapllanaj held the role of caretaker of the chronic ward, but his achievements were also known within the hospital. A staff member told us about his situation.

He has been working for us for many years . Initially, he was in the acute care unit, but he was removed from this ward after he raped a patient. He was caught by the security cameras raping the patient and left, they took him to the chronicler.
