An Albanian was caught while trying to bring to Albania 20 thousand pounds, hidden inside the famous French baguette bread.

56-year-old Valentin Gjoni, residing in Chessington, was stopped by the police while traveling in a car with two other people.

He told the police that he was going to Italy and then to Albania, and that he had no money in the car. But during a search, police found more than 20,000 pounds wrapped in aluminum foil and hidden inside the bread, while a further 15,000 were found hidden in his car, bag and jacket pockets.

A total of £40,440 was seized from John by Kent Police, and he was not convicted of any offence.
