"People smugglers are making double money by bringing illegal immigrants into Britain and helping wanted criminals, including murderers, to escape. Albanians are brazenly advertising travel offers through trucks for people who have problems and want to leave England as soon as possible". This is how a long investigative article of the British tabloid "Daily Mail" begins.

One of the Albanian traffickers told an undercover Daily Mail reporter posing as a relative of a man on the run after killing someone that he could escape from Britain to a European country that night for £3,000 .

Another account opened by a smuggler, who can be contacted on TikTok, offers a £17,500 bespoke service to rescue criminals with forged documents. The trafficker said the trick was routinely used on illegal immigrants entering the UK.

British police forces are on the hunt for 38 Albanian criminals, including 9 wanted for murder and 2 rapists, one accused of assaulting a child. Other Albanian suspects on the run include a £3m fraudster, a domestic abuser, a cannabis producer, a cocaine dealer and a fugitive who escaped prison.

It is suspected that some of them may have left the UK with the help of smugglers.

The TikTok ad, found by the Mail, says: “People wanting to leave England asap, to go to France or Belgium in the back of a lorry. Price 2500 sterling”.

Another TikTok account had over 140 videos with such ads for trucking in and out. While a third site run by another gang wants direct contact from anyone who wants to return to the EU from England by lorry.

The site had over 40 posts, many of which offered illegal passage to the UK either by lorry or yacht.

When a Daily Mail undercover reporter contacted the site and left his details, he received a message from an Albanian smuggler with a UK phone number. In subsequent WhatsApp exchanges, the journalist made the excuse that a relative of his in the UK needed to escape as soon as possible because he had stabbed a rival gang member who was trying to rob his home. of cannabis. The victim later died in hospital. The story was made up.

Wanting just £3,000 to France, the smuggler took just minutes to transmit a postcode of a park on the outskirts of Ashford, Kent, a short motorway from the Channel Tunnel and Dover. The meeting was for 1 am.

“Your man should be at that address tonight. There is a small restaurant and a gas station. The driver will be there. Handed the money to the driver and without any worries he will be in France. Tell your man that if the driver asks for details, tell him that he has an urgent family problem and wants to get out as soon as possible."
Another smuggler account called "Travel Agency London" says that for £17,500 it was taken from a flat in Leeds. He promised a trip in the cab of a Belgian lorry to get out of the UK by providing false travel documents.

Wanted Albanian suspects have managed to escape from Great Britain on many occasions.

TikTok banned the smugglers' accounts after being tipped off by the Daily Mail, but when such pages are taken down they usually quickly reappear in another, similar form. A TikTok spokesperson said: “We have zero tolerance for content that facilitates human smuggling and trafficking. The videos and accounts in question have been banned and we continue to work closely with UK law enforcement and partners to find and remove content of this nature."
