Details from the tragic story of Luiza and Gjergji Mullalli in Maliq. On the evening of July 29, a macabre crime shocked the village of Zęblak in Maliqi and the entire public opinion. Luiza Mullalli, 46 years old, was killed by the hand of her husband, Gjergji Mullalli, who, after executing her with a firearm, wrapped her body in a sheet and threw it into the septic tank of the apartment. The day after, while the 55-year-old was being searched by the police, he pointed the gun at himself, thus bringing the balance of this tragic event to two dead. Luiza and Gjergji had been married for 25 years and were parents of 3 children.

But what was the reason that their marriage, which had had many good days, came to this point?

The Uniko show by the journalist Spartak Koka brings details, with evidence and documents, that show that Luiza had been suffering repeated violence from her husband for years. He had approached the court twice for a protection order and in the end he had asked for a divorce.

The first case, as revealed in the court decision broadcast by the Uniko show, dates back to 2018. A love message received on Gjergji's phone would shake their marriage. It was one of the girls who saw this message. This was exactly the beginning of a continuous violence against Luiza, who confessed in court that her husband had grabbed her by the throat in front of the girls.

After learning about the message, Luiza told her daughter that if he had an affair, then she would ask for a divorce, a conversation that was overheard by Gjergji and which seems to have been the cause of the violence that would happen only a day later, on September 14, 2018.

"... (When they returned home) the girls did not find the key in the place where they usually left it, as Gjergji had taken it with him and together with the boy had gone to the field. After (Luiza) returned home and the girls were waiting in the yard and her father did not answer the phone, she opened the door with a screwdriver and went inside. When Gjergji returned from work and saw the door open, he first insulted and threatened his wife. Then he grabbed her by the throat and hit her, but at this moment the girls intervened and drove her away. After these actions, he informed the police. The police inspector of the area went to their house, asked them about the incident and filed a lawsuit for issuing a protection order .

Luiza requested that the two girls be interrogated in court, who during the testimony confirmed Luiza's claims, stating that the reason for the disagreements was a message found on their father's phone, and on September 14, 2018, the father had caught him for he choked his mother and hit her because she had opened the door with a screwdriver.

The court accepted Luiza's request and a protection order was issued against her.

Gjergji himself, in his testimony before the court at that time, said that he was sorry for his behavior and that it would not happen again.
