Police have arrested a person for the TNT explosion on the land belonging to the family of murdered businessman Ardian Nikulaj, a day earlier.

At the conclusion of the first investigative actions carried out by the special group under the direction of the Lezha Prosecution Office, to identify and capture the perpetrators of the event of 10.06.2026, in the village of Balldren i Vjetër, where a quantity of explosive material exploded on a piece of land (without causing damage), the Criminal Investigation specialists at the Lezha Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen AA, 55 years old, resident of Tirana.

Following the actions, it became possible to identify and declare his accomplice, citizen EZ, 35 years old, resident of Kruja, wanted, and work continues to locate and capture him.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues to clarify and document the motive for this event.

The procedural materials were referred to the Lezha Prosecutor's Office for further action.
