A witness has described the moment of the explosion in Saranda, which left 58-year-old Isuf Jaçaj dead .

She said that the explosion was strong, with pieces of the car scattered everywhere.

"It was 10 or 10:30, as I remember. Glass shattered everywhere. The children were very scared. We almost died. There were also foreign tourists here, they were very scared. One was pregnant and she was scared and just cried," the witness said.

Isuf Jaçaj, 58, lost his life on Saturday evening in Saranda, after TNT was placed in his car.

The victim had a previous criminal record and was the father of Klaus Jaçaj , who is currently in prison, accused of " supporting the perpetrator " in an event that occurred on July 17, 2025.

During that incident, Gëzim Hajdaraj and Ernest Lama were injured by gunfire in neighborhood no. 4 of the coastal city.

Four days later, a masked man placed a quantity of explosives in Klaus Jacaj's car, completely destroying it. The incident remained unsolved at the time.
