New details are revealed regarding the joint operation of the Tirana Police, Europol and authorities in Colombia to crack down on a group that trafficked human beings in Albania, the Balkans and beyond with the aim of prostitution of Latin girls.

Sources indicate that during a search of the Colombian apartment of Lucas Betancur and his father, who are considered the head of this criminal group, Bitcoin codes and numerous money transfer receipts suspected of coming from prostitution activities were found.

It is estimated that since January, over 1 million euros have been transferred, mainly from countries in the region and from Albania to Colombia. Not only that, but several apartments or hotels have also been discovered that were used as prostitution dens in Tirana for Colombian girls.
