TNT attacks in Saranda, remote-controlled explosion, here are the victim's connections

A TNT explosion shook the city of Saranda this Saturday evening, killing one person.

The incident occurred at around 22:50, in neighborhood no. 3, where a Toyota vehicle was blown up with explosives.

According to the police, the explosives were placed in the vehicle owned by Isuf Jacaj, who was in the vehicle at the time of the explosion and lost his life as a result.

Isuf Jacaj is the father of 31-year-old Klaus Jacaj, currently arrested for "supporting the perpetrator" in connection with the event of July 17, 2025, when Ramadan Zoto wounded with a firearm in neighborhood no. 4 of Saranda citizens Gëzim Hajdaraj and Ernest Lamaj from Kamza.

Tonight's explosion was extremely powerful and was heard throughout the coastal city, causing panic among residents of the area.

Numerous police forces and an investigation team are at the scene, continuing their work to identify and capture the perpetrators, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances and motives of the incident.

The police announce that all investigative and procedural actions are being carried out for the legal documentation of the assassination that shocked Saranda this evening.
