Going to rob an apartment, 25-year-old Albanian is killed in Italy by the owner

A 25-year-old Albanian man, resident of Turin, was shot dead in the early hours of this morning, while allegedly robbing an apartment in Baldissero d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo, Italy.

According to Italian media, a group of at least 4-5 people entered the courtyard of the apartment at around 02:00 in the morning, when the owner, identified as Roberto Mollo, caught them by surprise and shot them several times with the pistol he legally possessed. As a result, the 25-year-old Albanian was left dead, while his identity has not yet been made public.

According to the preliminary reconstruction of the event, Mollo, a mechanic and animal transport truck driver, was alone in the apartment owned by his parents when he heard noises from outside.

Suspecting that unauthorized persons had entered the property, he went out to check on the situation and, when confronted by the group in the darkness, took out his semi-automatic pistol and opened fire. One of the men was killed, while the others fled the scene. The incident is being investigated by Italian authorities to clarify its full dynamics.
