A clash over drug trafficking control is shaking the Vittoria area, in the province of Ragusa, southeast of Sicily.
According to an investigation by journalist Giuseppe Bascietto for " Gli Stati Generali ", the clash of July-August 2026 involved a group linked to Giovanni Gurrieri and an Albanian network with consolidated connections in Vittoria, Santa Croce Camerina and along the coast of Ragusa.
The investigation mentions threats, aggressions, a burned vehicle and a violent fight in a bar, while emphasizing that the information is based on sources cited by Italian media and does not in itself constitute judicial evidence.
At the center of the reconstruction appear the names of Auglent “Denny” Lalollari and Luzim Ndreu, known as “Giuliu 'u Tistuni”.
According to investigation sources, Lalollari and Ndreu would be part of the same criminal environment, while some people describe them as "uncle and nephew", an expression that, according to the media, does not prove a family relationship and could refer to age or authority.
The clash with Gurrieri's group allegedly began at the La Lucciola bar, where Gurrieri asked several people who sources link to Ndreu to stop their drug activity and asked to meet with their leader.
After refusing the meeting, one of Ndreu's vehicles was burned and later, at the same bar, Ndreu was allegedly physically attacked by Gurrieri.
According to the reconstruction of "Gli Stati Generali", the conflict was not limited to clashes between people involved in drug trafficking.
The investigation also mentions the Di Modica brothers, described as close to the Matriali clan and a figure known as "u Puorcu", who were allegedly attacked in their homes and in the presence of their family members.
Aurelio Di Modica turns out, according to the investigation, to be a defendant in the same trial where Lalollari also appears.
In this context, the Italian media presents the situation as an attempt by the Gurrieri group to change the criminal balance in the territory, where local groups and the Albanian network are suspected of maintaining autonomy, but also have common interests and relationships.
The investigation is expected to continue with further details on Ndreu, Lalollari and how this network is suspected to operate in southeast Sicily./ Gli Stati Generali
