In the village of Fierzë, in the joint high school "Matosh Uka" the ceiling collapsed. Thankfully, no students or teachers were injured as the incident had occurred overnight.
Students say the school building has many other problems, one of which is humidity. The director of the school, Xhane Rama, showed the school and explained that the solution at the moment is to move the classrooms from the first floor to the third floor, which in fact is also damaged. It is thought that the problem comes from the bathroom pipes.
'Stop' also talked to the deputy mayor of Tropoja, who asked him to leave a written request as he had to go to the cemetery.
Vice President: I will leave a written request, please return the answer!
Vice President: Because they are waiting for me at the cemetery, I will go, we have activity with veterans. Leave the request!
Journalist: So activity with veterans is more important than the well-being of the children in that school?
Vice President: Everything is important. The most important thing is that you leave the request in writing and return the answer in record time!
Journalist: No vice-president, this is not the most important thing. The most important thing for the Municipality of Tropoja is to give me an answer, what will happen to that school there, because there are 178 children who go!
Deputy Mayor: We dealt with that school, the ceiling collapsed, we made the third floor.
Journalist: I was there I saw, the walls are cracked, there are classes out of order.
Vice President: Has the third floor become functional?
Journalist: If you consider it functional?
Vice President: For us it is functional, it is so urgent. Prevention will be done, we have written to the Ministry to send us the fund, to repair the floor, the whole school.
Journalist: The floor or the whole school?
Deputy Mayor: Floor and other interventions in the school, where there are problems.
Journalist: Is there a deadline, when will this happen?
Deputy Chairman: The Ministry will respond, will they allocate funds to us, will they not allocate funds to us. Then we will see with a donor, that we do not have funds at the moment.
Journalist: From whom are you expecting the funds, from the Ministry ë…?
Vice President: From the Ministry of Education, Civil Emergencies.
Journalist: In the meantime, has no alternative solution been considered for them, so that they might go to another building, until this is done and we all have a good night's sleep?
Deputy Chairman: on the third floor, - I told you.
Journalist: Yes, the third floor is not safe either.
Vice President: Why is he not sure?
Journalist: There are no toilets, the ceiling is a problem, there is moisture everywhere, the stairs are slippery.
Vice President: Leave all issues in the written request and respond
