The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 2 have criminally prosecuted businessman Nadir Çausholli, 48 years old, for the criminal offenses of "Intimidation" and "Self-Judgment".

Police say that this citizen, today, on "Ibrahim Rugova" street, during a conflict over the installation of a charging device for electric vehicles on the sidewalk, is suspected of verbally threatening the co-owner of "Sky Tower", Mirton Lika, 53, and kicking a chair in his direction.

Also, the police say that on the other hand, Çausholli has reported that he was verbally threatened by Mirton Lika.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.

What happened?

Businessman Mirton Lika has filed a criminal complaint against businessman Nadir Çausholli, following a conflict that occurred on July 6, 2026 on "Ibrahim Rugova" Street near the "Sky Tower" building in Tirana.

According to the report filed at Police Station No. 2, Lika stated that while he was on his way to his office, he noticed several people installing a charging device for electric vehicles near the facility. He claims that he asked the employees for information regarding the documentation and permission for installing the device, since, according to him, the matter was related to an open proceeding at the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.

The report states that a similar device, previously placed in the same area, was seized by the competent authorities as illegal. According to Lika, the employees did not present the relevant documentation and then the police were notified at the scene.

A State Police patrol initially arrived in the area, conducted preliminary verifications and then notified the Municipal Police, as the issue was related to the interruption of works and administrative documentation.

The businessman claims that while he was waiting for the Municipal Police to arrive, Nadir Çausholli approached him in a threatening manner and then the situation deteriorated into a verbal conflict. According to the complaint, Çausholli kicked a chair in the direction of Lika, who claims he managed to avoid the blow. The complaint also states that he was insulted and cursed.

Lika has requested that law enforcement agencies take measures and fully investigate the incident, stating that he feels threatened personally, as well as for his family and the activities of the "Sky Hotel" and "Sky Tower" businesses.

Mirton Lika is co-owner of "Sky Tower" in Tirana and Consul of Sri Lanka in Albania.

Meanwhile, Nadir Çausholli's name has been mentioned earlier in another investigative case. A few months ago, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office imposed security measures on several employees of the company "CFO Pharma", suspected of involvement in a drug reimbursement fraud scheme.

According to investigations, the financial damage to the state was initially estimated at around 700 thousand euros, while the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund later stated that the suspected value of the damage could exceed 2.3 million euros.
