The head of the "FAST" research unit, under the State Police, and an agent of this unit, risk being punished by the Court of Elbasan, as during the investigations, they came up in a case of fraud, with the aim of receiving 7 thousand euros, from a person from Elbasan sentenced in Italy to 5 years in prison for drugs.

In the statement read a few days ago, the prosecution asked Judge Idush Maliqi to plead guilty and sentence Fatmir Alia to 3 years in prison, who was the head of the "FAST" research unit in the State Police.

But due to the abbreviated trial, the prosecutor's office has reduced the amount of the punishment, requesting the final punishment of Alias with 2 years of imprisonment.

Four years of imprisonment, the charge demanded for the agent of "FAST", Sokol Fana, but due to the shortened trial, the final claim for the agent was reduced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

At the same time in this case, the prosecutor requested 3 months imprisonment for the citizen Klodjan Hajdërlli, who is accused of "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth".

According to the investigation file, two employees of "FAST", near the State Police, are accused of "Misuse of duty" and "Fraud".

Fana, using the police document and a "Glock" type weapon, in October 2021, went to the bar "S..." in Elbasan, which is managed by Klodjan Hadërlli, telling the latter that he had problems with Italian justice and that for this he should be arrested.

Klodjani asked the police officer to let him see his mother, since he was going to prison.

At this moment, the person who introduced himself as an Interpol agent, Sokol Fana, told Klodiani that they could arrange this matter in a different way, asking him for 7 thousand euros.

Initially, the parties agreed, but at the moment when the agent Sokol Fana went to withdraw the required amount of 7 thousand euros, he had a conflict with Hajdërlli, as the latter realized that everything was a fraud.

Their goal was to inform the citizen Klodian Hajdërlli, regarding some e-mails that had arrived from Italy, where the justice of this country requested information about his activity in Albania and the arrest of Klodjan.

In order to convey these words to him and in exchange for not being arrested, Festim Alia, who is the head of the investigation office in the "Fast Albania" unit, has chosen the agent of this unit, Sokol Fana, to appear in the premises of the Klodjan bar and ask for 7 thousand euros in exchange for not being arrested.
