Messages promoting the fight against crime and drug trafficking have now become the refrain of US officials coming to Albania.
Such was the one that came from the director of the Office for Europe and Asia of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the State Department, Mark Tervakoski.
He met with President Begaj, SPAK prosecutors, and police officials.
“Demonstrating the strength of the law enforcement partnership between the United States and Albania and the Trump Administration’s relentless fight against international organized crime and narcotics trafficking, the Director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs’ Bureau for Europe and Asia, Mark Tervakoski, met with representatives of law enforcement, justice, civil society, and international missions in Albania.
"The United States is focused on providing capabilities, tools, and cooperation in Albania and globally to partners who share our commitment to combating criminals who harm our citizens, threaten our borders, and violate our national security," the US Embassy said in a statement.
